Sony India has today introduced the Sony Xperia Z3, its latest flagship phone in India priced at 51,990 INR. The smartphone is small bump from Xperia Z2 on the inside and mildly deviates from the OmniBalance Design we have seen so far, with a slimmer chassis and comfortable rounded edges.
Sony eliminated shortcomings in its display technology with Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 carries forward the good work. Sony is using the same 5.2 Inch IPS LCD 10 point multi touch Display panel with shatter proof glass on top and signature dust and water proof IP68 certification.
The processor is again a minor improvement from its predecessor. A Snapdragon 801 quad core is humming inside at 2.5 GHz aided by 3 GB RAM and 16 GB native storage. You get to keep 128 GB secondary MicroSD storage as well.
For the third time, Sony is using the same 20.7 MP sensor, but this time a 25mm lens has been layered on top. Steady shot technology has been improved apart from some other changes to the camera software. 4K video recording at 30fps and 1080p videos at 60fps are supported. The front 2.2 MP shooter can record full HD videos as well.
Software is latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with custom Xperia interface on top. There is a 3100 mAh batter inside with Sony’s custom STAMINA power saving mode. Other features include 4G LTE /3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL 3.0 and NFC.
Sony Xperia Z3 is small improvement from Xperia Z2 in terms of raw hardware specs, but the improved design and subtle changes are much welcome. You can buy it in Black, White, Green and Copper colors for 51,990 INR.
