With the intention to grab a significant chunk of the reasonably priced smartphone market, India based Spice Mobiles has come up with a couple of Android 4.4 KitKat based handsets. The new offerings are dubbed Spice Stellar 520 and the hexa-core powered Spice Stellar 526 and these are priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 11,499. Lately, the firm created headlines with the launch of the first ever smartwatch called Smart Pulse.
In terms of specifications, the Stellar 520 is fitted with a 5 inch IPS OGS full lamination display with a HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under the hood is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz paired with 1 GB of RAM for better multi-tasking. The imaging needs are taken care of by an 8 MP primary snapper with auto focus and LED flash and a 2 MP front-facer that can make video calls and click self portrait shots.
There is a standard 4 GB of internal storage space that can be externally expanded up to 32 GB by means of a micro SD card. Connectivity features onboard are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and dual SIM functionality. A 2,000 mAh battery energizes the Stellar 520 providing a backup of 4 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time.
On the other hand, the Stellar 526 flaunts a 5 inch HD On-Cell IPS display and employs a 1.5 GHz hexa-core processor supplemented with 1 GB of RAM. The handset includes 8 GB of internal storage space with expandable storage support up to 32 GB and packs a similar 8 MP camera with features such as Live Photo Mode, Voice & Gesture and Photo Capture. Also, there is an advanced 3.2 MP front-facer, identical connectivity features and a 2,500 mAh battery with capacity to provide a longer backup
Interestingly, the Stellar 526 with exceptional features uses the powerful Mali 450MP4 graphics engine that can render quality gaming experience with Multi-core Gaming support and Clear Motion technology for motion blue free experience. The Stellar 520 arrives with preloaded apps such as Spice Cloud, OLX, Whatsapp and Opera to enhance the user experience.
Both the Spice Stellar 520 and Stellar 526 will be available for sale in the coming days from major retail outlets, online retailers including Saholic and Spice HotSpot stores for Rs 8,999 and Rs 11,499. Furthermore, Spice is providing a free flip cover worth Rs 500 with the Stellar 520.
