Timex Blink band featured

Timex today launched a new fitness watch dubbed as Timex Blink in India. The American watch manufacturer has partnered with domestic consumer technology startup Blink to introduce this activity tracker. The pricing of the fitness band starts at Rs. 4,495 for the leather style strap and it is available via Timex stores starting from today itself.

The USP of the Timex Blink fitness tracker is that it can send instant emails, SMSs, and notify your contacts with your GPS location in case of an emergency. Timex and Blink have developed the “SOS” emergency technology for the watch which is specifically made for the Indian users.

Timex Blink specs and features

The Timex Blink band is compatible with both Android and iOS devices – it uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone. However, to make full use of the band, you will have to download the Timex Blink app from Play Store or App Store and pair your smartphone with it.

Timex Blink displays time and current battery level on its OLED display. It sports a 0.9-inches touchscreen display with a Stainless Steel 304 L Case. It comes with a Nordic nRF52832 CPU, and a 6-axis motion sensor. It also features SOS technology to send emergency alerts, which is triggered by a long touch on the touch key.

The Timex Blink band can track all the activity that we do daily including step counting, distance covered, calories consumed and sleep tracking. It is powered by a 90mAh Li-ion battery which Timex claims can offer backup for 10 days in-use and 12 days of standby. It uses a standard microUSB cable for charging.

Timex Blink Price and Availability

The Timex Blink band comes with a price tag of Rs. 4,495 for the leather style and Rs. 4,995 for the bracelet style. The band is exclusively available via authorized Timex stores from November 15. The Timex Blink comes in three different case colors – Black SS, Silver, SS and Rose Gold SS.

As a part of an introductory offer, the company offers a complimentary Silicone sports strap with the band.
