Truecaller has released a new update to its Android app. The update brings includes a Spam folder and the support for themes. The most popular caller ID application in the world is now rolling out latest version 8.21 and it is available for download from Play Store.
Users can now see a separate spam folder which keeps all the junk messages away. However, to make use of this spam folder, you will have to set Truecaller as your default messaging app.
Truecaller mentioned in a blog post,
“Instead of spam SMS appearing in the inbox alongside other SMS, Truecaller now completely separates pesky reported spammers into its own folder within the spam tab. The new design will allow Truecaller users to see a much cleaner inbox and pay attention to the SMS that matter most.”
The other features include an option to let users save MMS to the app. And, also an option to block the incoming Flash messages. Additionally, there is a new option that marks all the messages as read in the Block tab.
The latest update brings the ability to set custom themes for the app. The app comes with a great collection of custom themes and they act as skins for the app. The themes including Pitch Black, Royal, Coffee, Grey, and Dark. The themes can be changed from settings.
It is also to be noted, that the Pro version of the app that removes ads now costs Rs. 30. To remind you, this features earlier cost of Rs. 60. Moreover, the company is offering a yearly subscription to the Pro version at Rs. 270. Also, you don’t need to renew the pro-version manually, the update comes with an auto-renewal option.
Earlier this year, Truecaller has released payment feature named Truecaller Pay, targeting only Indian users. The company partnered with ICICI Bank to provide UPI access to its users for digital payment.
