China’s ViVo will launch its two new Smartphones X9s and X9s Plus next week on July 6. The company has also started sending invites or the same. The company’s latest flagships are to be powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset.
TENAA, the Chinese telecommunication authority, has already given certification to these smartphones last month. So far, we knew most of their specs like the two will share an Octa-core SoC and Android 7.1.1. But full specifications were still a mystery.
Now, popular benchmarking website GFXBench has revealed a new handset with the model name Vivo TD1608 with a 5.5 inch full HD display. This is supposedly the smaller X9s, as the X9s Plus features a 5.85″ display at TENAA.
Vivo X9s Specifications
The Vivo X9s will sport a 5.5 inches IPS LCD display resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The smaller variant will come with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. It will have a 16 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP + 20 MP dual selfie camera setup. It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Funtouch OS on top. The X9s houses a 3,920 mAh battery.
Other features include a fingerprint sensor mounted at front, accelerometer, proximity and compass. The connectivity options that the phones will support are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot.
The X9s Plus, a bigger version of the X9s, will share the same specifications except the display and might come with a 6GB memory variant too.
As mentioned above, both the devices are backed up by the Octa-core Snapdragon 660. The Qualcomm announced this latest premium mid-range chipset last month.
Vivo recently demoed the world’s first smartphone with an in-screen fingerprint sensor, in collaboration with Qualcomm, at Mobile World Congress, Shanghai. More information about the upcoming flagship will be available only after the launch.
