Wonobo Brings 360 degree Street View to India

Google Street view, didn’t make it in India and got entangled in legalities and approvals. Well, good news is that two Indian brothers have worked around the Indian System and partnered with Indian tourism Ministry, Incredible India and Govt. of India to launch India’s first 360 degree street view via Wonobo.com.

This service will be available in 12 major cities for now including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Pune, Ahemedabad, Agra, Jaipur and Surat. Complete data is available for 5 cities and will be expanded to 54 cities in the future.

Genesys International is a Mumbai based mapping company which has the home ground advantage. They have abided by all the rules and regulations to become the first service to provide 360 degree street view in India.


Wonobo will provide you with a map and Street view on your screen, both sharing space. There is a search box to find locations. You can enter a location and click on the navigation on top right corner to get directions from any place to the desired location. You can also tap any point on map to get the street view.

Wonobo has tagged 10 million points of interest including 4 million business locations. Any local business can get itself tagged for a fee and this will be the revenue source for the website. Wonobo also plans on launching a mobile app soon. There are some speed issues on the website as of now, but the company assured to solve them in coming days.
