Xiaomi foldable phone has appeared in a video. The company has officially revealed its foldable phone in a video posted on Weibo. The video shows that the large screen folds on both sides and turns into a compact device. As per the company, this will be the world’s first phone with a dual-side foldable display.
Xiaomi co-founder and President Lin Bin himself posted the video on social media. He writes that the phone has been developed after several technical problems in flexible folding screen technology and adapting MIUI to the foldable screen.

The video shows that the screen can be folded from either side. So, the tablet-sized device turns in to a mobile phone. The display on the back doesn’t turn off after folding, but since it is still in the prototype stage, it should be fixed in the final model.
“This symmetrical dual-folded form perfectly combines the experience of the tablet and mobile phone, which is both practical and beautiful,” said Xiaomi president.
Xiaomi doesn’t say anything about the launch and name of this foldable device. The company says that if people are interested in this technology, they will consider the mass production of it in the future. The company has also asked people for a name for it.
Xiaomi has scheduled its MWC 2019 event from 23th to 26th February. The company started Mi Explorer programme to take 20 Mi Fans to attend the event. So, there are chances that the company may showcase this device at the MWC 2019 event.
