Xiaomi Mi 7 leaks reveal glass back and dual cameras, wireless charging expected

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is expected to be gearing up for the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 7 flagship at the Mobile World Congress next month in Barcelona. With some time still left to the launch, there are fresh leaks about the device.

While the Mi series has been Xiaomi’s flagship lineup, the newest Xiaomi Mi 7 showcases a refreshed design and bright colours. Fresh leaks on the internet show the phone coming with a glass finish and featuring dual cameras at the back. As the date nears, we await the latest Xiaomi flagship.

Xiaomi Mi 7: What to expect?

Talking about the Mi lineup, these have been premium devices from Xiaomi, ranging from mid-range to flagship devices. The Xiaomi Mi 7 is tipped to be the latest in this lineup with latest specifications.

Talking about the leaked images, there are certain things that are now confirmed about the device. Firstly, it looks like the Mi lineup successor gets its design inspired by the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. It is shown sporting a glass back with a metal frame. The device is expected to come in colour options like White, Black, and Blue.

Apart from the colour variations, the phone is also shown featuring dual cameras at the back. As Xiaomi has stepped into the dual camera game already, we expect this phone to be more refined and improved in terms of output and performance.

Finally, discussing another functionality, we can speculate the Xiaomi Mi 7 to feature wireless charging as it comes with a glass back. While the Mi Mix 2 missed out on the same, we can say Xiaomi will make full use of the glass back this time. Another reason to believe so is the incorporation of wireless charging in most modern devices.

One thing we can be sure of the Mi 7 is the operating system. It will come with the latest MIUI 9 skin on top of Android.
