Xiaomi Mi A1 price cut by Rs. 1,000: Now available at Rs 13,999 with Rs 3000 cashback

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced a permanent price cut for the Xiaomi Mi A1, their first stock Android phone. The Mi A1 is a part of the Android One program which ensures timely Android upgrades.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 price cut brings down the effective price of the phone to Rs. 13,999 – it was initially launched at Rs. 14,999, with some sales offering the phone for Rs. 12,999 as well

In terms of specifications, the Mi A1 comes with dual cameras, a full HD display, stock Android Nougat and Snapdragon 625 processor. With the Mi A1, Xiaomi has presented a stiff competition to stock Android devices like the Moto G5S Plus.

To recall, the Mi A1 comes with a metal build which is solid as well as premium. The device offers a 5.5-inch IPS-LCD display with full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution. With a pixel density of ~401ppi, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.


Coming to optics, the Xiaomi Mi A1 features a dual camera setup at the back. This comprises of Dual 12MP lenses which are 26mm (f/2.2) and 50mm (f/2.6) units. It offers 2X optical zoom, PDAF, and come with Dual tone Dual LED flash. A 5MP front-facing camera is also given for selfies and video calling.

In terms of hardware, the phone comes with a Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. This combination is complemented by 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. You also get expandable memory up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Running Stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is an Android One smartphone. While the phone is running Android Nougat, Xiaomi is already recruiting Beta testers for the Android 8.0 Oreo update. The device is backed by a 3,080 mAh battery. It is a Dual SIM 4G VoLTE phone with GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, Micro USB, and 3.5mm earphone jack.
