Xiaomi Mi S Specifications Leaked – 4.6″ Display, SD821, 4GB RAM

One of the most loved brands in India, Xiaomi is gearing up for its compact flagship smartphone from quite some time and now the specifications of the next phone have been revealed. Though introducing a flagship model in the size of less than 5-inch is quite difficult, this Chinese brand is working really hard to offer something competitive in the respective segment.

The Mi S is one such phone from Xiaomi which has top-of-the-line specifications packaged in a compact body. The renders of this phone does not suggest towards something exceptional, as the back resembles flagship Mi 5 smartphone. A curved black panel, metallic frame and a sheet of 2.5D curved glass at the front are something that can be expected.

Despite placed in the compact segment, the dimensions of the Xiaomi Mi S reads 128.3 mm X 64.2 mm X 8.2 mm (L X W X T) and weighs 138 grams. It might feature a 4.6-inch full HD (1920X 1080 pixels) display with 600 nits brightness. It will be operated through a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor which is accompanied with 4GB of RAM. The internal storage is 128GB but the availability of a microSD card is not confirmed yet.

The expected Camera duties include a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, Sony IMX379 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and 4K video capturing capabilities. At the front, it might feature a 4-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, and 1080p video recording. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and fueling it is present a 2,600 mAh battery pack.


Quick charging 3.0, fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack are some other features of the phone. The official launch date of the phone is not released yet but, the phone looks promising and capable on papers. Let’s see how the phone changes the compact and affordable smartphones segment after the launch.
