Xiaomi Mi7 with Snapdragon 845, 18:9 display leaked: Full specs

The next flagship phone from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Mi7 has apparently leaked online, showcasing all the key specifications of the phone. While this is expected to come next year as a flagship from the Chinese manufacturer, it will be the successor to the Xiaomi Mi6.

The previous Mi flagship, the Mi6 never made its way to India. However, with Xiaomi’s aggressive expansion here, we can expect a different outcome this time. The leaks are provided by MyDrivers and prove certain speculations right about the Xiaomi Mi 7.

Xiaomi Mi 7 Specifications

Xiaomi Mi 6

The upcoming flagship from Xiaomi is expected to feature 6.1-inch OLED display manufactured by Samsung. This display is expected to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio, keeping up with the modern-day flagships.

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Mi7 is tipped to feature dual 16MP cameras with f/1.7 aperture. The phone is expected to ditch the telephoto lens in favor of better low-light imaging by using a monochrome sensor.

There were already speculations about the hardware on the Xiaomi Mi7. The phone is again tipped to come with the unreleased Snapdragon 845 processor. This processor is expected to be accompanied by 6GB/8GB RAM. We can safely say that the phone will run MIUI 9 with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but Xiaomi could launch it with Oreo this time.

Also, Xiaomi is reportedly working on 3D facial-recognition for unlocking the Mi7. This is much anticipated as Xiaomi along with many other companies is trying to figure out an innovative counter-measure to Apple iPhone X’s Face ID. Samsung was also recently reported working on an improved iris scanner.

The Xiaomi Mi7 is tipped to feature a 3,350 mAh battery with fast charging. We will hopefully see the Xiaomi Mi7 make a debut at the MWC 2018 as Xiaomi’s next Mi flagship.’

While the availability of the Xiaomi Mi7 is uncertain in India, the device will surely go on sale in the Chinese market. The phone is rumoured to be priced at RMB 2,699 (roughly Rs. 26,500).
