Xolo Opus HD with Broadcom Quad Core and 2500 mAh Battery at 9,499 INR

After successively improving display resolution on Q1000 Opus and Q1000 Opus 2, Xolo has now launched Xolo Opus HD at 9,499 INR, with a 5 inch 720p HD IPS LCD display, bigger 2500 mAh battery along with some other improvements.

Xolo is however sticking to the same 1.2 GHz Broadcom SoC with Videocore GPU as was present in original Opus Q1000. The chipset is aided by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB native storage, which can be further extended by another 32 GB using MicroSD support.

Imaging hardware has been bumped and now includes an 8 MP BSI 2 rear shooter capable of full HD video recording and a 2 MP front shooter. Support for 3G operator video calling is also present.

The 2500 mAh battery, packed in 7.99 mm slim body, has official charge time of 3 hours and will last for 9 hours of 3G talktime and 7 hours of WiFi web browsing, which sounds quite decent in this price range.

The new Xolo Opus HD will directly compete with Zenfone 5 under 10K price range, and with mildly disappointing Broadcom BCM23550 on board, this won’t be an easy task. Software is Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which will suffice for rich Android experience.
