Over the last month, indigenous smartphone vendor Xolo unveiled the Win Q900s that is the lightest Windows Phone handset. Now, the firm has come up with the Android variant of the same with the launch of the Xolo Q900s. The handset is priced at Rs 9,999 and it is believed to enter sale in the coming days. The Q900s is acclaimed to be the world’s lightest smartphone weighing in at a mere 100 grams and measuring only 7.2 mm in thickness.

Elaborating on the specifications, the Xolo Q900s runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and it is upgradeable to the v4.4 KitKat. The device is given a 4.7 inch HD IPS OGS display that has a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. In addition, the device is layered with a scratch resistant Dragon Trail Glass that will prevent scratches and damage due to everyday usage.

Under the hood, the Q900s features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset that ticks at 1.2 GHz clock speed. This processor is paired with 400 MHz Adreno 302 graphics unit and 1 GB of RAM for efficient multi-tasking. Onboard is an 8 MP PureCel primary camera that is capable of shooting FHD 1080p videos and conserve the battery life largely. In addition, there is a front-facing 2 MP shooter that can assist in making video calls and clicking self portrait shots.

Furthermore, the dual SIM smartphone houses an average 8 GB of native storage space that can be expanded externally with the help of a micro SD card.
