YU Yunique 2 With Nougat, Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE Launched For Rs. 5,999

YU Televentures, a subsidiary of Micromax, has launched a new smartphone named Yunique 2, which is the successor of the Yunique released in September 2015. Like its predecessor, the smartphone comes with entry level specs and an affordable price tag.

 

YU Yunique 2 Specifications

The YU Yunique 2 comes with a 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS LCD panel. Weighing at 159g, the smartphone measures 145 x 72.7 x 9.15 mm. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Truecaller is the default phone dialer so that you can seamlessly get caller ID and spam alerts.

A 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 chipset with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Mali T720 GPU powers the Yunique 2. It packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card upto 64GB.

In the camera department, the Yunique 2 houses a 13MP sensor with a single LED flash. On the front, it sports a 5MP selfie snapper.


A non-removable 2500 mAh battery fuels this device. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB v2.0, etc. Sensors include a light sensor, accelerometer, and proximity.

Speaking on the launch, Shubhodip Pal, CMO and CCO at both YU and Micromax, said,

Pricing and Availability

YU has priced the phone at Rs. 5,999. It will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting from 27 July. It comes in Black and Gold color options.

At this price point, the phone faces tough competition from the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4, Motorola C.
