Micromax YU has always been touted as Xiaomi and OnePlus competitor, right from the day Micromax first announced this new online retail brand. Users who have successfully registered for YU Yureka have received confirmation via email that the smartphone will go on sale on 13th January 2015, Tuesday at 2 PM. This is exactly the same time when Xiaomi conducts its Flash sales in India.

Since both YU and Xiaomi will exclusively sell on different ecommerce portals, this shouldn’t affect sales for either of the two manufacturers. But Micromax’s gesture very well signifies that gloves are off and it’s not taking Xiaomi’s intrusion on its turf lightly.

Xiaomi will start selling Redmi Note 4G in India starting from 30th December and we can expect 13th January to be about Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G VS Yu Yureka. We don’t know how much stock these two manufacturers will put for sale, but we do expect them to race to finish line.

Yu Yureka comes with a 5.5 Inch HD display powered by 64 bit 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 octa core chipset with 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 16 GB expandable storage. Other features include 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP Selfie focused wide angle front shooter and a 2500 mAh battery. Yureka will be available exclusively on Amazon.in for 8,999 INR.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G with the same sized display is powered by 1.6 GHz Snapdragon 400 quad core processor with 2 GB RAM, 8 GB native storage, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front shooter and a 3100 mAh battery. This will be selling for slightly higher price tag of 9,999 INR exclusively on Flipkart.
