The wait for the LG’ 5.5 inch Optimus G is now finally over. Back in August last year, we have seen the announcement of Optimus G , the first LTE smartphone to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, came from LG and now it became available in the market for sell.

The LG Optimus G will be having the body dimensions of 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.5 mm (5.19 x 2.71 x 0.33 in)  which will be weighting 145 g (5.11 oz) and hence looks like a light in weight. With this body it will be having 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPS+ display screen with resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels and pixel density of around 318 ppi. The screen will be protected by technology like Corning Gorilla Glass and LG Optimus UI v3.0.

The Phone will be coming with Android OS, v4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and will be allowed for upgradable to v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It will be powered by a powerful 1.5 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2 GB RAM and internal memory 32 GB. The Optimus G carries a 13 MP camera on the rear with LED Flash while there is a front-facing 1.3 MP camera for video calls. The various connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack. The LG Optimus G is powered by a 2100 mAh battery.

Final Verdict:

With the Andreno GPU and Quad Core CPU support the 1.5GHz Quad core Processor looks very mush healthy to run the multiple application without lag. This Smartphone really looks good but could find difficult against the competitors like Samsung and HTC. Specially with the launch of Samsung Grand, and Iphone 4 with the price tag of around 27,000, this device could look costly with the price tag of Rs.30,990 though the specification looks attractive for the user. The LG Optimus G is available with online retailer Saholic for Rs.30,990.
