Panasonic T11 Quick Review, Price and Comparison

Other than the P11, Panasonic recently launched the low-cost T11 as well. The pricing of this device seems to be much more aggressive and competitive when compared to the P11 and the P51, which seem like two devices that are priced more than their worth. However, the Japanese major would hope that the T11 would do the trick for them, being priced at 9,520 INR.

Let us go ahead and look what the T11 has got on offer.

Camera and Internal Storage

The phone comes with a 5MP rear camera which features LED flash, autofocus and other regular assistive features like geo-tagging, etc. On the front, the device packs a 0.3MP unit which would be used for video calls. Although you get 8MP cameras on phones worth 10k INR, you might as well put your money in this one since Panasonic quality is bound to be better than other upcoming brands, which seem to focus more on the number of pixels than the actual quality of the sensor and the lens being used. You can expect the hardware quality on this device to be better than what you see on other phones from XOLO, Karbonn, etc., and this includes the imaging hardware as well.

The front-facing 0.3MP camera shouldn’t be much of an issue either. The unit should be sufficient for use in daylight while it might not be a good idea to use the same during low-light situations. The phone comes with a standard 4GB Internal Storage, which is expandable by up to 32GB via microSD.

Processor and Battery

The phone comes with the same 1.2 GHz quad core processor you saw on the P11. The processor comes from MediaTek and is a known performer. Gaming, HD videos, multimedia, etc. shouldn’t be a problem for this processor. Since the phone’s 4 inch display has a relatively low resolution of 800×480 pixels, the GPU won’t be overburdened too, which means performance would be at its peak whenever required.

The device will feature a rather disappointing 1500 mAh unit for a battery. You might and probably will have a rather tough time trying to extract a day’s usage out of this teeny unit.

Display and Features

As just mentioned, the phone comes with a 4 inch screen, which is, well, rather surprising to see in an age when most other manufacturers are pushing towards the 6” mark. The 4 inch display panel on the T11 features a WVGA resolution of 800×480 pixels, which isn’t overly impressive but should do the job given that you don’t expect the device to be your primary multimedia phone.

The device should respond well to IM, email and SMS apps and the experience will probably be a good one, although not as good as an HD screen phone. The plus is that the device will have a battery life better than other 4 inch phones with a higher resolution.

Looks and Connectivity

The device is clearly not the best looking phone in the world. In fact, the P11 does a much better job at the cosmetics department when compared to this one. However, we shouldn’t say further since the topic of looks is strictly subjective.

The phone will feature regular radio like Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, GPS, etc when it comes to connectivity features.

Comparison

The device, like any other quad core device launched of late, has a number of competitors from domestic and international manufacturers alike. This list can include devices like the XOLO Q700, XOLO Q800, Lava Iris 504Q, Micromax Canvas 2 Plus, Karbonn S5 Titanium, Zen UltraFone 701 HD, etc.

Conclusion

The device is priced well, given the configuration it comes with. Although most of our readers might be knowing of phones with similar specifications and a lower price tag, it is important to note that Panasonic is a much older brand than other aforementioned manufacturers, and the quality of the components used on the device and the quality of after sales service is bound to be much better than other competitors in the market. Hence the slightly heavier price tag. However, what you decide to choose is definitely your discretion, and we’re sure a proper research before going for a device helps.
