Alcatel has launched a new entry-level smartphone, dubbed as Alcatel U5 HD in India. Priced at Rs. 5,999, the Alcatel U5 HD comes with decent specifications. The booking for the smartphone starts exclusively via Flipkart from Wednesday. It comes in Metallic Black and Metallic Gold color options.
Alcatel had already launched the U5 HD smartphone globally back in August. But, in India, the device has been launched with increased RAM. The Alcatel U5 HD comes with 2GB RAM option in India, in comparison to the 1GB global variant. Let’s take a look at its full specifications.
Alcatel U5 HD Specifications
The Alcatel U5 HD sports a 5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This dual-SIM device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The smartphone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset clocked at 1.25GHz and it is clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU. Further, memory wise it comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
Camera wise, the Alcatel U5 HD features a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP camera at the front. Both the cameras have support for LED flash. Some notable features of the camera are HDR, EIS, Instant Collage, Face Beauty, etc.
It offers connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro USB port. It is powered by a 2,200mAh battery.

The Alcatel U5 HD is priced at Rs. 5,999. It comes in Metallic Black and Metallic Gold color options and will be exclusively sold on Flipkart.
