New Google Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 Renders Hint No 3.5mm Headphone Jack

New 3D graphic renders of the Google Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 have been surfaced recently. The renders from tipsters namely OnLeaks and MySmartPrice show Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 in a black color metallic body featuring a circular fingerprint sensor at the back.

Over the past few months, several reports about Google’s latest devices are being spread by many tipsters. Earlier this month, leaks of Google Pixel XL 2 had surfaced showing its AMOLED display, glass back window, and no antenna bands.

The latest renders are identical to the ones that were released earlier. Also, these leaks confirm the earlier reports of Google ditching the 3.5mm audio jack and using fewer bezels. Surprisingly, it is again confirmed that there will be no dual camera setup in the next flagship from Google.

The dimension of the Pixel 2 are roughly 145.3 x 69.3 x 7.8 mm (8.2 with camera bump) and the Pixel XL 2 will be 157.6 x 76.3 x 7.9 mm (8.6 with camera bump).

Both the phones will feature glass and metal finish at the back similar to Pixel XL. Also, the fingerprint scanner continues to be on the back panel. Google’s logo sits at the lower back of the phone.

The power and volume keys are situated on the right edge of the device, and the SIM-tray slot is seen on the left side. The phones will sport dual stereo speaker at the front.

Finally, we can see there is no 3.5 mm headphone port in the phones. The USB Type C port is located at the bottom.

The smaller variant, Pixel 2 is expected to feature a 5 inch full HD display manufactured by LG. While the bigger variant Pixel XL 2 is supposed to come up with 6 inch AMOLED display. The phones feature noticeably fewer bezels compared to the Pixel and the Pixel XL.

If we talk about further specs, the phones are said to be one of the first devices to use Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 836 chipset. In the storage department, both the phones are supposed to pack 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 could be launched later in October this year along with Android 8.0. Google had recently posted the final developer preview of Android 8.0 for eligible devices.
