Honor 7A, Honor 7C with 18:9 display, dual cameras launched in India starting at Rs. 8999

Huawei’s Honor brand has just launched two new smartphones dubbed as Honor 7A and Honor 7C in India. The two phones are company’s latest budget smartphones in its ‘7 series’ in India that comes with some common features like 18:9 FullView 2.5D curved glass displays, dual rear cameras, face unlock and Android Oreo.

Honor had already launched the Honor 7A in China back in March. Now, along with the Honor 7A, Honor 7C is also being launched in India. Both the phones are similar in terms of features and specs except the hardware. The pricing of new Honor phones starts from Rs. 8,999 and these will be available online starting from May 29.

Honor 7A Specifications

Staring with Honor 7A first, it sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top. Dimensions of the phone are 152.4 × 73×7.8 mm and it weighs 150g.

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. Memory wise, it packs 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The dual SIM phone comes with a dedicated slot for microSD card expansion.


Camera wise, it sports a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 2MP rear camera. Up front, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and 3.5mm jack. Apart from the face unlock feature, it also sports a back mounted Fingerprint sensor. The device also has a Karaoke on the go feature that comes with real-time audio monitoring and a party mode. The phone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

Honor 7C Specifications

Honor 7C is the similar phone but it has a slightly better features. It spots a bigger 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) FullView 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.

The phone packs 3GB or 4GB RAM with 32GB or 64GB storage, which is expandable up to 256GB with microSD. The phone also sports a dedicated microSD slot. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 on top.

Coming to the camera, it sports a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 2MP camera. It also sports an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture.

The dual SIM phone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS as connectivity options. It sports a Fingerprint sensor on the back. The device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. Dimensions of the phone are 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8mm and it weighs 164g.

Price, launch offers, and availability

The Honor 7A is priced at Rs. 8,999. The Honor 7C is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version and the Honor 7C 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 11,999.

The Honor 7A will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting from May 29 and the Honor 7C will be available exclusively from Amazon India starting from May 31.

Both the phones come in Black Gold and Blue colors. These phones will also be available from Honor India Store. If we talk about launch offers, both the phones come with Rs. 2200 cashback offer, as well as up to 100GB additional data, offer from Reliance Jio.
