Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie launched: Specs, price and more

Domestic smartphone maker Karbonn Mobiles has launched a new smartphone, dubbed as the K9 Smart Selfie in India. The new Karbonn smartphone is targeted at selfie lovers as suggested by its name. The phone sports an 8MP front camera with beauty mode. Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie is priced at Rs. 4,890.

This new phone from Karbonn has been launched just a few days after the launch of the Karbonn Titanium Jumbo which is also an entry-level phone that was launched at Rs. 6,490. Moreover, this is the third launch from the company within a month’s time. Last month Karbonn also launched a 4G VoLTE smartphone Karbonn A40 Indian at an effective price of Rs. 1,399 in partnership with Airtel.

Coming to the new K9 Smart Selfie, it also features 4G along with VoLTE support which is a good option at this price. Other than selfie camera, the phone boasts of a matte finish, long battery life, Android Nougat etc. Let’s check the full specs of the Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie.

Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie Specifications

The Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie features a 5 inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The dual-SIM device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.


It is powered by a quad core processor clocked at 1.1GHz. Memory wise it is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The internal storage is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Talking about the camera, the K9 Smart Selfie features an 8MP front camera with Night shot mode and Beauty mode among others. The handset features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash. There is also an inbuilt photo and video editor on the device.

Connectivity options on the phone include Bluetooth, GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G VoLTE and Wi-Fi. It is powered by a 2300mAh battery which is claimed to offer a standby time of up to 180 hours and talk time of up to 8 hours.

Pricing and Availability

The Karbonn K9 Smart Selfie is priced at Rs. 4,890. It comes in matte finish and in Black and Blue color options. The phone is now available via major retail stores in India.
