LG V30+ with 18:9 display, dual camera to launch in India on December 13

Korean smartphone maker LG has started sending media invites for the launch of the LG V30+ in India on December 13. The device is similar to the LG V30 but comes with more storage. The flagship device was launched earlier this year.

The main features of the LG V30+ are its dual camera setup and the 18:9 display with minimal bezels. The device was launched in Korea for 998,800 won which roughly translates to Rs. 58,900. Considering that this is a flagship device from LG, the device is expected to be priced similarly in India.

LG V30+ Specifications

The LG V30+ runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with LG UX 6.0+ skinned on top. The device features a 6 inch QHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and offers a pixel density of ~537 PPI.

In terms of performance, the LG V30+ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 skinned on top. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. The device is IP68 certified water and dust resistant and is also MIL-STD 810G certified.


Coming to the camera department, the LG V30+ features a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 16MP primary camera with OIS, EIS, PDAF, f/1.6-aperture, 71-degree wide-angle lens and a 13MP secondary camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. The primary camera is assisted by a dual LED flash for better low light images. On the front, the device sports a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The LG V30+ is powered by a 3,300mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac,  Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and Availability

The LG V30+ is priced in Korea at 998,800 won which roughly translates to Rs. 58,900. The device comes in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet color options.
