LG electronics has been in the smartphone market since a long time now. With their recent flagship phone, the LG G5, they have proved that innovation is the prime focus in their smartphones. Talking of innovations, LG has today launched the LG X Screen in India. The LG X Screen comes with a special feature, which is the always-on second screen on top of the main display panel.

It is a good-looking light weight device, with glass on both the sides. It comes at a price of INR12,990 and will be available for purchase on Snapdeal from 20th of July. We have compiled a list of common questions and their answers to help you find out more about the device.

Question- How is the Design and Build Quality?

Answer- LG X Screen has a good looking and handy built. It comes with glass fibre on the front and on the back with rounded edges and a lightweight built. The screen size is 5 inch that makes it even handier for one handed usage. It weighs just 120 grams and looks thin. The special thing about the design is its dedicated notification display which is not included in the main screen. I was very impressed with the overall design and built, but the glass built may turn out to be slight fragile.

Question – How is the Display Quality ?

Answer – LG Screen has a 5 inch LCD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels and 298 ppi Pixel Density. Overall display quality is good for regular usage but the viewing angles did not impress us. Color reproduction is quite good and natural.

Question – What is the hardware used inside?

Answer – It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core 64 bit Snapdragon 410 chipset coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage.

Question- Which GPU is used in this handset?

Answer- It comes with Adreno 306 GPU.

Question – Does it support Full-HD Video-Recording?

Answer – Yes.

Question – What are the battery specifications ?

Answer – It is backed by a 2300 mAh removable battery.

Answer – No.

Question- How is the camera performance on LG X screen?

Answer- LG X screen comes with a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8 MP front camera. Camera performance is just about average, in normal lighting conditions but the front camera is good compared to other phones in this range. You can check out the camera samples below.

Question – How was the gaming performance?

Answer- Looking at the hardware, the X screen has a bit older configuration compared to the currently available smartphones. But when I played Asphalt 8 on this device, I found it performing pretty well and there were no major lags in the gameplay. The game did not felt smooth but it was easily playable with those minor glitches.

Question- Does LG X Screen Have Heating Issues?

Answer- We did not experience any major heating issue as such but it did get warm while gaming.

Question- Can the LG X Screen be connected to a Bluetooth Headset?

Answer- Yes, it can be connected to a Bluetooth headset.

Answer- Yes, you can create hotspot to share internet from this device.

Conclusion

At INR 12,990, LG X Screen is a good phone in terms of looks, design and features but it may lack behind when it comes to power. It has an old Snapdragon 410 processor, which is not bad but we have better technology at the same price these days. Quality of this phone is top notch and LG loyalists will surely like the always on secondary display.
