New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air with 4G LTE Set to Go Official Soon

Xiaomi is preparing to launch a brand new laptop with built-in 4G LTE connectivity. Speaking of specifications, the upcoming Mi Notebook Air is expected to pack some powerful hardware inside a sleek metal chassis. The Chinese manufacturer has already started to tease the forthcoming device through the social networks in China.

New Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air: Specs

Guessing by the teaser image, we can only tell that the future Mi Notebook Air shall boast a slim metal construction and pack in at least one USB Type-C port. Design-wise, we presume it will look like its predecessors, with the premium aluminium body. Coming to the internals, the upcoming laptop is expected to come with the latest generation Intel chipsets and no less than 4 GB of RAM. There may even be a Mi Notebook Air 4G LTE version with the additional NVIDIA graphics card.

Speaking of the display, the new Mi Notebook Air is expected to come with a 12.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) screen or a 13.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS LCD panel. Software-wise, Xiaomi shall pre-install the Windows 10 operating system. Taking about the storage, you may opt for an SSD with a minimum capacity of 128 GB.

The upcoming laptop shall feature all kind of connectivity options ranging from dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth to HDMI (optional) and 3.5 mm headphone jack. It is quite obvious that the new Mi Notebook Air will rock an additional SIM slot to accommodate the inbuilt 4G LTE capability. It is not yet known whether the Mi Notebook Air iteration will support voice and video calls.


New Mi Notebook Air: Price and Availability

The current Mi Notebook Air is priced at 3499 Yuan (Rs. 34,200 approx.) and 4999 Yuan (Rs. 48,700 approx.) for the 12.5-inch and the 13.3-inch variants respectively. It is quite natural that the 4G LTE models will come with a price premium. Coming to availability, the new Mi Notebook Air is expected to be exclusive to China with no official confirmation of global or Indian availability.
