Moto Green Pomelo launched: Specs, features and more

Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched a new budget smartphone, dubbed as the Moto Green Pomelo in China. The device comes with a logo of the fruit Pomelo on its bottom. The device comes with a similar design as the company’s Moto G5S.

Not just the design, the specs of the Green Pomelo are also similar to that of the Moto G5S. The device has been priced at CNY 1,599 (Rs. 15,700) and is available in Cool Black and Rose Gold color options. Motorola today also launched the Midnight Blue color variant of the Moto G5S in India.

Moto Green Pomelo Specifications

The Moto Green Pomelo runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ZUI 3.1 skinned on top. It features a 5.2 inch full HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of ~424 PPI. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

It is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.


Coming to the camera department, the Moto Green Pomelo features a 16MP primary camera with Phase detection autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. The camera is capable of recording 1080P videos and comes with features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and auto-HDR.

On the front, the device sports a 16MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash.

The Moto Green Pomelo is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and FM Radio.

Pricing and Availability

The Moto Green Pomelo has been priced at CNY 1,599 (Rs. 15,700) and will be available in Cool Black and Rose Gold color options.
