Nubia Z17S launched with four cameras: Specs, price and more

Chinese smartphone maker today announced its latest device dubbed as the Z17S in China. The main highlight of the device is that it comes with dual cameras at both front and back. The device is made up of 7-series aviation grade aluminum alloy frame and a 3D Gorilla glass back.

The Z17S from ZTE’s sub brand Nubia has been priced starting at CNY 2,999 and will go on sale starting from October 19. The device is available to pre-order starting from today.

Nubia Z17S Specifications

The Nubia Z17S runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Nubia UI 5.1 skinned on top. The device features a 5.73 inch full HD+ LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2040 x 1080 pixels. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a pixel density of ~403 PPI.

In terms of performance, the Nubia Z17S is powered by a 2.45 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clubbed with Adreno 540 GPU. The device comes with 6GB / 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.


Coming to the camera department, the device comes with four cameras. On the back, the device comes with a 12MP primary camera with Sony IMX362 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size and dual tone LED flash, along with a secondary 23MP Sony IMX318 sensor with 2X optical zoom and f/2.0 aperture.

On the front, the device comes with a 5MP + 5MP camera setup with a 79.9-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture.

The Nubia Z17S is powered by 3,100mAh battery with Fast Charge support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and Availability

The Nubia Z17S has been priced at CNY 2,999 for the 6GB RAM variant and CNY 3,999 for the 8GB RAM variant. The device be available in Black and Blue colors starting from October 19. It is available for pre-order starting from today.
