OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition images, specifications leaked ahead of December 12 launch

A few days ago, OnePlus announced that it would launch a special OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in partnership with McLaren. The special edition is all set to launch on December 12 in Mumbai. Now, ahead of its launch, a leak has surfaced online that gives us a look at the phone’s design and its specifications. According to the leak, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will feature a premium design with a McLaren logo on the back panel. It will also pack 10GB RAM, and support Warp Charge fast charging technology.

Popular tipster Ishan Agrawal revealed the images of the new OnePlus 6T McLaren edition on Twitter. This new special edition is also being called the Speed Orange variant of 6T. The McLaren edition will come with a textured kevlar back and there will be orange accents running across the phone’s frame  on the back side. The main highlight of this special edition will be the McLaren logo on the lower back side of the phone. Apart from these changes, other design elements like the notch display, dual rear cameras remain the same.

The tipster also shared a marketing banner of the new OnePlus 6T McLaren edition which reveals some of its specifications. It suggests McLaren edition will come with whopping 10GB of RAM coupled with 256GB of onboard storage.

The phone is also to come with OnePlus’ new proprietary “Warp Charge” fast charging tech which will provide a day’s charge only in just 20 minutes. This new tech is touted as a step-up over the previous Dash Charge technology. The Warp Charge is said to based on the same 50W charging technology as Oppo‘s Super VOOC flash charging.


The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition launch event is scheduled for December 11 globally and it will be launched on December 12 in India. The expected price of the special edition is around Rs 50,000.
