OPPO launched two new smartphones A5 2020 and A9 2020 in India today. Both the phones come with 6.5-inch Nano Waterdrop display, Snapdragon 665 processor, and quad rear cameras, however, only A9 2020 has a 48MP sensor.
The A9 2020 comes with a 48MP main camera and A5 2020 has a 12MP main camera. While other cameras are similar in both. OPPO‘s new phones pack a 5000mAh battery and also support Dolby Atmos supported stereo speakers.
OPPO A9 (2020), A5 (2020) Specifications
The new OPPO A9 2020 and A5 2020 sport a 6.5-inch HD+(1600 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 6.0.1 based on Android 9 Pie.
These are powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm processor with Adreno 610 GPU. The A9 packs up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB storage. While the A5 sports up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB with microSD.
They sport a quad-camera set up with A9 having a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, and A5 has 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture. They both have an 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP 4cm macro camera.
A9 2020 sports a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, while A5 2020 has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The phones sport Dolby Atmos supported dual stereo speakers. Connectivity features are triple slots, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, USB Type C, and 3.5mm audio jack. The phones pack a 5000mAh battery.
They come with a glossy polycarbonate body with A9 (2020) in Marine Green, Space Purple colors and A5 (2020) in Dazzling White and Mirror Black colors. Dimensions of these phones are 163.6×75.6×9.1mm and weight 195g.

The OPPO A9 (2020) price in India starts at Rs. 16,990 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage version. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs Rs. 19,990. It will be available via Amazon.in starting from September 16 and via offline stores from September 19.
The OPPO A5 (2020) price in India starts at Rs. 12,490 for the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage version. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version costs Rs. 13,990. It will be available via Amazon.in and offline stores starting from September 21.
