Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has silently launched a new smartphone dubbed as Oppo A83 Pro in India. The new smartphone is an upgrade of the Oppo A83 that was launched in India back in January. The A83 Pro has been priced in India at Rs. 15,990.
The new Oppo A83 Pro smartphone has more RAM and onboard storage over the previously launched Oppo A83. The rest of the specifications are similar on both the models. The Oppo A83 Pro will be available via online and offline stores across the country.

If we talk about specs, the dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo A83 Pro runs Android 7.1 Nougat-based ColorOS 3.2. The phone features a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) LCD panel with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and an 8-megapixel camera at the front. The phone measures 150.50×73.10×7.70mm and weighs 143 grams.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6737T octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz. It is further coupled with 4GB of RAM while the Oppo A83 has 3GB of RAM. The A83 Pro has 64GB of inbuilt storage while the Oppo A83 has 32GB of inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Interestingly, the phone comes with a facial recognition feature to unlock the screen using your face. Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The phone is powered by a 3180mAh battery.

The Oppo A83 Pro comes in two color variants – Black and Champagne. The phone is priced at Rs. 15,990 and it will be soon available via offline and online retailers.
