Oppo Find X 10GB RAM variant gets listed on TENAA in China

Oppo Find X could become the first smartphone to feature 10GB of RAM. The upcoming high-end variant of Oppo Find X is currently in the certification process in China and could be launched in the coming weeks.

Oppo introduced its flagship Find X smartphone with a unique motorized camera module at an event in Paris back in June. The original Find X comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage, now the 10GB RAM+256GB storage version has been certified by TENAA in China.

OPPO Find X specifications

If we talk about full specifications, the Oppo Find X sports a 6.42-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, it gets Snapdragon 845 processor. It comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage (512GB storage for Lamborghini Edition).

In terms of camera, it sports a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP primary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a secondary 20MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has OIS and LED flash. Up front, there is a 25MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo’s ColorOS 5.1 on top. The Dual SIM phone has connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C. It also has USB Type-C audio, DSP module, and NXP noise reduction. It packs a 3,730mAh battery with VOOC flash fast charging support.

The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 59,990 for the only 8GB RAM/256GB storage model in India. Could 10GB RAM on a smartphone help in performance or it will just be a superfluous feature? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
