Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus spotted on Geekbench, may come with a big price tag

As the MWC 2018 is nearing, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are receiving new leaks about the pricing. While the devices are the company’s upcoming flagships, they are expected to be steeply priced this time.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are the upcoming S series flagships from the company. This time, the devices are tipped to come at a steep price, with many reports pegging the devices to come with a base price of £739 (Roughly Rs. 66,000). While this is a considerable increase in the price, the performance of the devices may justify it.

Also, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus has been spotted on Geekbench with an impressive single core score of 3773 and a multi-core score of 9024. While this does not surpass the score of the iPhone X, it surely puts the devices at par with the Apple flagship.

Not just the processor speed, the benchmark has put light on some other specifications too. The device is shown running Android 8.0 Oreo during the benchmark. Also, there is 5163MB RAM available which points at a 6GB RAM, peculiar of the bigger Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.

Earlier leaks have pointed at a changed fingerprint sensor placement and refined design. Not just this, the rumours of a new Titanium Grey colour have surfaced. One of the major upgrades over the last generation Samsung Galaxy S8 is the incorporation of Dual cameras. While the older devices bore similar optics, the new devices will get different camera setups.

It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus will get a Dual camera module, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, while the smaller S9 will make do with a single camera at the back.
