Sharp S3 Android One smartphone launched: Price, features and more

Japanese smartphone maker Sharp Mobile has launched a new smartphone called the Sharp Android One S3. The Sharp Android One S3 is priced at 32,400 Yen which converts to approximately Rs. 18,900. The smartphone comes in Black, White, Green and Pink color options and is currently available in Japan.

The smartphone is the successor of Sharp Android One S2 which was launched last year. The Japanese phone maker has again launched its Android One smartphone in partnership with Google. So, the Sharp Android One S3 runs on stock Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

Sharp S3 Specifications

The Sharp Android One S3 features a 5-inch IGZO display with full HD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This smartphone is water and dust resistant with IP68 rating. It measures 144 x 71 x 8.5mm and weighs 143 grams.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, which is clubbed with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of Internal storage with an option to expand up to 256GB storage via microSD card and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.


On the camera front, the Sharp Android One S3 sports a 13MP primary camera with LED flash, hybrid AF, and PDAF. Up front, there is a 5MP secondary camera for selfies and video calling.

Connectivity options on this dual SIM smartphone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 etc. There is a Type-C USB port placed on its bottom and the phone packs a 2,700mAh battery. Currently, the smartphone is available in Japan only and there is no information when it will be shipped to other markets.
