Answer– Yes, Xiaomi Redmi Note will ship with Gorilla Glass 3 scratch resistant layer in India.

Question – What processor is Xiaomi Using? Is it better than Snapdragon 400 MSM 8228 in 4G Variant?


Answer – Its standard 1.7 GHz Octa Core MediaTek Mt6592 with Mali 450 MP4 GPU. We will have to spend some more time with 4G variant to know which one is better. The performance on Redmi Note is better than Redmi 1S. There was no lag while playing HD videos or graphic intensive games but

Question – What comes inside the Box?

Answer- There are no headphones inside the package. Box content includes 2A wall charger with USB Cable, Warranty card and Other documentation.

Question – Does it have any heating Issues?

Answer – So far we haven’t encountered any major heating issue with our review unit.

Question –Do both SIM cards support 3G?

Answer –Only one SIM card supports 3G.

Question – Can you do video call via SIM card?

Answer – No, the dialer app doesn’t list direct 3G Video calling option. You will have to rely on third party apps to do the same.

Question – Does it have LED notification?

Answer – Yes, It does have LED notification light which can support multiple colors.

Question – How much is Free Storage?

Answer – Out of 8 GB about 6 GB is available at user end. You can also use up to 64 GB MicroSD card for secondary storage. There is no partition for apps and other media.

Question – Can Apps be transferred to SD Card

Answers – No, apps can be moved to and installed on SD card.

Question – Does it support USB OTG?

Answer – Yes, Xiaomi Redmi Note does not supports USB OTG.

Question – What is the Android version used below Emotion UI

Answer – Its running Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean and OS is upgradeable. There are good chances that Xiaomi will offer Android Lollipop update sometime later.

Question – How is the Display of Redmi Note?

Answer – The Redmi Note too has a 10 point multitouch 720p HD display and though its not a dazzling display, its good enough to get the job done. Colors, brightness and viewing angles are also very good. Touchscreen responsiveness is decent.

Question – How is the Build Quality?

Answer – Build quality and design is ok considering the price range. The rear glossy back cover (which will attract fingerprints and scratches over long run, if not handled properly) is removable. it looks like a plain chunky slab with a phablet sized display. The phone focuses more on the internal hardware rather than exterior styling.

Question – How is the Camera Quality?

Answer – Contrary to our initial opinion, the Redmi Note rear camera is capable enough to click great images in artifitial light and low light conditions. Manual mode allows you to toggle with advanced settings. Front camera is also quite decent performer. Though low light shots need improvement, the camera hardware can be considered one of the best in this price range.

Question – How much RAM is available on first boot?

Answer – Around 900 MB RAM is free on first boot.

What are Antutu and Nenamark score on Redmi Note?

Answer – Redmi Note scored 32244 on Antutu and 61.7 fps on Nenamarks 2, we didn’t face any issue with gaming.

Question – How is the Gaming Peformance?

Answer – Basic gaming works well, sensors work fine and display doesn’t obstruct gaming experience in any way. We were able to play most high end games easily without much issue.
