List of Non Reliance Phones Which Support JIO VoLTE

The 4G branch of Reliance Telecom, Reliance JIO is all set to launch its 4G service in India soon. Though the Reliance group employees are already tasting the flavor of the 4G service as it’s available for them for trial purpose.

For the soft launch, customers would be able to pick up a JIO SIM card for Rs 200, which should come with free data and voice valid for three months. The free usage offered to employees in the December launch was 75GB of data and 4500 minutes of call.

You can get the SIM if you are a Reliance employee or can receive the same from a friend or relative who is a Reliance employee. Else Reliance JIO is also giving JIO SIM cards on invite basis. So, to get a JIO SIM card, find a person employed with Reliance JIO or Reliance Industries Limited and ask them to share the invite with you. Each employee can invite upto 10 persons. You will get a referral code via invite and you need to take that referral code to your nearby Reliance outlet or store along with your ID-Proof to get the JIO SIM.

Sadly you need a LYF smartphone for the SIM card to work as of now. The SIM comes with unlimited 4G data, 9000 free SMS and 1500 minutes of HD voice calling upto 3 months. Keep in mind that the invite is only valid for 15 days and is non-transferable. The public launch is still awaited.

As of now, you are supposed to buy a LYF smartphone in case if u want to use the JIO network.  LYF smartphone’s price ranges from 5,000 to 25,000. They all support VoLTE (voice over LTE ), VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi)  and high speed data download /upload.  The JIO SIM card doesn’t work on any other LTE enabled phones as of now. Though we believe that after the official launch, it will work on most of the LTE phones.

So any phone  supporting VoLTE or running on following snapdragon processor 410, 412, 415, 430, 615, 616, 617, 618, 620, 650, 652, 800, 801, 805, 808, 810 and 820 is supposed to work on JIO network in future. Though there are number of VoLTE supported phones present but only few comes under Reliance JIO 4G Volte support list.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a VoLTE enabled phone, JIO has launched a JIO Join app which works exclusively on JIO network for the users who don’t have a VoLTE enabled phone.

There are lot of VoLTE supported phones available in India but only few of them comes under Reliance JIO 4G VoLTE support list. As per list of JIO  following phones will be supporting Reliance JIO network in the future.
