HTC One 4.7 Inch HD Display with 1.7 Ghz Quad Core

HTC Corp, the struggling Taiwanese maker of smartphones, is taking a page from longtime partner Microsoft Corp as it launches a new phone under the One brand smartphone: HTC One. HTC has unveiled this new smartphone with the hopes that it will set it apart from the crowd of Google Android devices on the market and help it make up ground lost to Samsung Electronics Co Ltd and Apple Inc. The phone runs Google’s Android software, but HTC is grafting its own home screen on the phone, one that’s similar to that of Microsoft’s Windows Phone software.

WIth the dimension of 5.4 x 2.7 x 0.36 inches the Phone got a 4.7-inch full HD screen, which is bigger than Iphone 5 but smaller than some other Android phones, including HTC’s own 5-inch Droid DNA, which was launched in last November. The HTC One has the same screen resolution as the larger phone, at 1920 by 1080 pixels. The display also resists scratches and reduces glare, whilst offering 468ppi resolution. As the phone is bigger than IPhone 5 it is also heavier than iPhone 5 (weight:4 oz) as the HTC one is weighting 5 oz.

The phone will be running on Android 4.1.2 OS with HTC Sense 5 and it is powered by 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. Along with this the company has distinguished the phone, the HTC One, from rival Android devices by using new software – the BlinkFeed feature. where this new feature is to replace icons on the home screen with a personalized stream of news articles, social networking updates, photos and video. The total storage available with the phone will be 32GB/64GB for different price range where the available capacity varies and got the very attracting 2GB DDR2 RAM. It also embedded the rechargeable Li-polymer battery of 2300 mAh.

Coming toward the camera and connectivity the phone will looks bit weak but will challenge all its rival, thats for sure. It got a 4 MP Rear camera with BSI sensor, Pixel size 2.0 μm and Sensor size 1/3′ . It also has 2.1 MP Front-Facing secondary camera. It will support 1080p Full HD video recording for both front and back cameras and also HDR Video. With all this you will also be provided with 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, NFC capable and can support bluetooth 4.0 with aptX enabled, Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, DLNA for wirelessly streaming media from the phone to a compatible TV or computer. It also support the HDMI connection for which a special cable is required.

Good, Bad and availability:

we would have been more happy if the HTC one would have got a bit more improved camera like iPhone 5 and also a battery of upto 3000mAH to run the Smartphone but still the device with other specification look very attractive. The Li-Polymer battery, the 2 GB RAM and the Quad Core Snapdragon 600 procesor is really a boast for the device. The look also seem very stylist. It was being touted that HTC One will be available in UK from March 8 but guess the Taiwanese maker has pushed availability date by a week also it is predicted that it could come with price tag of 425 pounds plus VAT and wil be ranging ssomewhere near to the price of Iphone 5 and Samsung S3. But still the phone looks better and a big market killer for beast Samsung and Iphone.
