After introducing the LG Optimus G and LG Optimus G pro the series has added few more members to the LG’s Optimus series. The LG Optimus 5 II is one of the member of this Optimus family. In the previous MWC 2012 the company has introduced LG Optimus 5 and now in MWC 2013 it is coming with LG Optimus 5 II. It is among the newest members of the company’s L-series of Android smartphones. The name itself suggest that this phone will be more capable than the Optimus L3 II, but inferior to the Optimus L7 II.

It has dimension of 117.5 x 62.2 x 9.2 mm the phone looks good but still can be consider the thick phone as there are many few slim phone available in this range. It runs Android 4.1.2 is one of the interesting feature for this range specially when it is enhanced using LG’s custom Optimus UI user interface. The 1GHz single-core MediaTek-made SoC processor makes the phone useable for daily normal purpose with 512 RAM and powered by MTK chip.

Conclusion:

The LG Optimus L5 II is another promising and affordable smartphone from the Korean firm which is looking to strengthen its position at the low-end of the market. The single core processor looks weak but can be consider for daily use but still considering the low cost of this handset those specifications aren’t particularly poor. The Optimus L5 2 is expected to retail for around £120 (around $180) and expected that it will arrive in the UK this spring, or more precisely the second quarter.
