Recently we have discussed about the Videocon been geared up in the mobile market and been releasing phones at a regular interval. And with the launch of Videocon A27 with 4 inch display and Android 4.0 at Rs.5,999 INR, the company has launched another mobile device Videocon A53. Like A27 this is also a Dual seems phone but with a better specs and seems to be coming with the mid-range targeted audience.
Lava Xolo A1000 is the device which can face a good competition from this Videocon’s device. A53 will be coming with 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor versus Lava Xolo’s 1 GHz Processor but A53 will be operating a bit older version of Android i.e Android 4.0 ICS where as Lava is coming with Android 4.1 Jelly bean. VA53 wil be coming with 5.3 Inch display and Xolo comes with 5 Inch display but the Pixel resolution of A53 looks weak as compared to Lava’s A1000. Both share the 8MP camera and comes with Micro SD slot. So from the specs the device looks to create a confusion in the mind of buyers.
This dual sim phone will be coming with 4.0 inches WVGA Display. It is capacitive touchscreen with only 960 x 540 pixels qHD resolution which looks pretty disappointing as it could have been a HD screen with some better resolution. It will operate on Android 4.0 (Ice cream Sandwich) OS and is powered by 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor with 768MB of RAM which is not high enough if we expect a better performance without Lag. It will be available with 4 GB internal memory which can be further expanded up to 32 GB as per the user need.
Videocon A53 boasts a 8.0Mp rear camera with Digital zoom, Autofocus, LED Flash and has 3264×2448 pixels resolution which really looks attractive. The 1.3MP of front camera is also a good deal for video chatting. On the connectivity front, it offers 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and support various other basic connectivity. To run all this the device is powered by a 2500 mAh battery.

Conclusion:
The Videocon A53 looks good with the Dual-core Processor for Dual SIM but we see some feature where the device lack like No Jelly Bean OS, Low 768 MB RAM and a Low screen resolution. The camera looks powerful but not sufficient to hide the other drawbacks. Still the price will be a factor which will decide if this device is worth to be purchased. From the specs the Xolo Lava looks powerful if compared with this Videocon device and have the price tag of Rs.13390 INR so if the device gets around Rs.1000 less or more than that then could be a better option for you. The device will be available in Bluish black color and price in India is not available as of now.
