Lava has been running a contest on their Twitter network under the trend named ‘#powerof4’ and it seems they have been doing to welcome their cheapest Quad-Core processor equipped phone today. The best part about this phone is that usually the smartphones at this price when dominate in terms of power then compromise in Camera, Battery Strength or RAM, but in this case all the specs of the phone are decent and this makes it really viable in the Indian Android Smartphone market.
With the Quad-Core Processor clocked at 1.2 GHz it will be supported by 512 MB RAM which is enough to support gaming to a certain adequate extent and the camera specs are also good with 8MP primary camera with Auto-Focus on the back panel which is also supported by a VGA secondary camera available on the front panel. (I don’t see any detail about the Flash with this camera)
The internal memory capacity the device is 4GB which can be further extended up to 32GB with the help of external memory microSD card. Another good this about this phone is the usage of Jellybean Android 4.2 on this phone especially when the other smartphones opt to use Icecream Sandwich under this price range.
The screen size is of 4.5 inch with the resolution of 854 x 480 pixels which is again not bad for the phone with all the other good features. Now the battery is again not disappointing with 2000 mAh which is sufficient for the phone with 4.5 inch screen, Quad Core processor and Jellybean, we expect that it should give you the talk-time of 6 hours on 2G.
Other connectivity features like WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth are available on the phone along with the common sensors like Promity sensor, Light and G-Sensor and others. The price of this phone is astonishingly 8.999 INR only and as per me this is the best choice under this price range because the combo of Jellybean, Quad-Core Processor and 8MP Camera is unbeatable at this price range.
