Indian market is always considered to be one of the good profit earning markets by the Smartphone manufacturer and is not only invaded by international companies like Samsung or Apple alone but also the newly coming Indian Mobile manufacturer had earned a big profit here. With Micromax and Lava supplying their best of the devices recently to the market, here comes one more domestic manufacturer Domo with its first two smartphone devices: nTice F12 and nTice A10.
The mumbai based company was introduced with PC peripherals, tablets and accessories initially and now the company has refreshed its portfolio by announcing its entry into the growing smartphone market. Retaining the vision of providing innovative products that allows the customers to DO MOre at competitive price, DOMO introduced budget smartphones nTice F12 and nTice A10 into the market.
The Domo nTice F12 sports 5.2 inch display with 480×800 resolution which is quite low for this size display. It is powered with 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 512 MB RAM and has got 4 GB inbuilt memory. It is featured with 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA camera in front. The Dual SIM 3G phone runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
Domo has provided only standard Android apps with the phone and offers access to Google Play store for more apps. Form the connectivity front ,the phone offers 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS connectivity. nTice F12 also comes with a 2500 mAh battery and has the Price tag of Rs.8,900. Given the price, large display and good processor, lower resolution of the display can be ignored. Also, since none of the Indian brands offer better camera phone, we do not expect much from the Domo nTice F12. However Domo is a relatively unknown brand and that might hamper the adoption of the phone.
The smaller nTice A10 is much cheaper and does not offer 3G connectivity which. The phone is powered by a 1 GHz processor which is assisted by Mali 300 GPU and 256 MB RAM. It comes with a 4 inch display with 480×800 pixel resolution and dual SIM slots. The phone has a 2 megapixel camera at the back and VGA camera in front. There is a 1500 mAh lithium polymer battery powering the phone with claimed talk time of 4.5 hours. While the phone is priced well, RAM is too low for smooth performance and also this means that you only get Android 2.3 Gingerbread for operating the device.
The nTice F12 is priced at Rs. 8,900 and nTice A10 at Rs. 3,990 and is available on Domo’s official website. It is also available on other online portal like Snapdeal. However, the two devices may have to face a series of challenges from other domestic smartphone warriors in the native land including Micromax and Karbonn as Domo is a relatively unknown brand and that might hamper the adoption of the phone.
