We recently covered launch of HTC Desire 200 which was a budget phone. HTC is now back with another addition to its desire series with HTC Desire XC. This phone is priced at 16,499. Let’s see if the hardware specs of this smartphone are in accordance with its price.

HTC Desire XC has a 4 inch WVGA super LCD screen. Which is disappointing because at these prices we expect a full HD display? The processor specs appear moderate too. This phone is powered by a dual core processor clocked at 1 GHz frequency. It sports a 768 GB RAM to backup its processor. At these prices many manufacturers offer 1 GB RAM. This device has an internal storage capacity of 4 GB which can be further expanded to 4 GB using a microSD card. HTC Desire XC runs on Android 4.0 ICS Operating system which will be apt according to its hardware specifications.

HTC Desire XC has a 5 megapixel primary camera. Again many manufacturers are offering 8 MP primary cameras at these prices. Other camera features include LED flash and BSI sensors. HTC has not provided a front camera in this device which will disappoint users interested in video calling. Like other HTC phones this too comes with beats audio which will cater to music lovers.

Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS. The battery capacity is rated at 1650 mAh, which is again disappointing. Relatively less expensive Micromax canvas 2 has a battery capacity of 2000 mAh

This phone overall brings nothing new to us. Hardware specs are a little less then what we expect from this range smartphone. HTC has strengthened its brand value in recent times and has found more acceptance in Indian market. HTC Desire XC is available in both black and white color and you can buy it from Snapdeal for 16,499 INR
