W3 tablet with an 8 inch screen similar in size to iPad mini was launched earlier this month and is the first tablet that runs a full version of windows 8, that is to say it will support all standard window apps. Screen resolution is 1,200 x 800 pixels which gives you a pixel density of 186 pixels per inch which is not very good at this price range. (Better than iPad mini). This tablet is powered by 1.8 GHz Intel Atom z2760 Clover Trail chipset. The chipset is backed by a 2GB RAM and internal storage memory of 32 GB and 64 GB , which can be further increased by 32 GB using microSD card. It comes with two 2 MP cameras on either side capable of 720p video recording. it is quite interesting that device can be connected to a keyboard and mouse and be used as a full fledged pc. Acer claims that the battery life is 8 hours which is comfortably above standard battery backups. It is 11 mm thick and weighs 540 grams which is significantly heavier than other similar devices.

Aspire P3 is a windows 8 convertible ultrabbook which comes with a 11.6 inch HD display is powered by Intel i3 and i5 processors. RAM capacity is 4GB along with a 120 GB hard drive. Ultrabook comes with front and rear HD cameras. Ultrabook has a thickness of .77 inch and weighs 1.3 kg which is apt weight for this device. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-HDMI and USB 3.0. Acer claims battery backup will last 6 hours which is quiet good. You will also get a Bluetooth keyboard and a protective case with this Ultrabook.

Acer Aspire R7 comes with an Ezel hinge feature which enables it to be used as a laptop or a tablet. Aspire R7 has a 15.6 inch 10 point multi touch display which is a good quality display. The processor used is Intel core i5 processor backed by a 6GB RAM and 500 GB hard drive. It comes with a HD camera, Intel HD graphics and Dolby audio. Connectivity options include Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, and USB 3.0 AND Card reader. The battery backup is of a durable 5 hours, though we would have expected more at a magnificent price of 69,999. These three devices launched by Acer are equipped with powerful battery backup and, at least on paper seem to offer value for money.
