Idea to Offer Free Facebook Messenger for 3 Months

Nokia came up with a device which included a dedicated button for ‘Whatsapp’ and now most of the mobile network subscribers are deducting the prices of their data packs. Unluckily Idea cannot offer you the 3G connectivity in most of the regions in India (like New Delhi and few more). So in order to land with an idea to attract the customers to their network they have actually made Facebook messenger free on your Android or iPhone.

This is nice initiative taken by Idea to get their users attached to their network. Now they will have a free platform to exchange photos docs or messages on the most widely used social network across the world which is Facebook. This will help the users to be in touch with their friends through Facebook Messenger on their smartphones.

This offer will be available for the users who are getting this service activated on their SIM before 31st July and this offer will have its validity up to 3 months from then. Now this offer will allow the customers to get the taste of cellular data pack on their Android devices and then they might prefer to stay connected to these packs even when this offer is over.

This strategy was established keeping one point in mind that almost 50 percent of the total cellular data subscriber use Facebook Messenger on their device and even in this free pack if you crossed 200 MB then you will be charged as per the normal 2G and 3G charges from your call balance. So, keep an eye on the data pack usage. This is indeed a good partnership with the Facebook and will surely help them to rise the number of their subscribers.
