Another addition to the budget dual core segment is the Signature Swift from popular domestic manufacturer Celkon. The device was launched a few days back along with 2 other devices, between which the Signature Swift sits, in terms of specifications as well as price. The device is priced at 8,799 INR, which is a little on the higher side when compared to other smartphones with similar specifications. The device will face competition from a number of devices, with most of them featuring the Micromax logo.

The phone an impressive 8MP unit, while some other devices in the price range max out at 5MP. This unit should probably be good enough for your casual photography needs during daytime. The device will be good for most general purpose usage such as browsing the internet, chat, etc. while movies and multimedia will be fairly enjoyable as well. However, if you have ever used a 5 inch 720p phone, you are bound to feel a difference.
The device will come preinstalled with Android v4.2 which is a good sign. Battery management and app compatibility is bound to be better on the device. The Holo UI makes transitions simple and smooth, which most users seem to like.

Conclusion
The device does seem impressive with the imaging hardware and the dual core processor. The device will probably find buyers who’re on a tight budget, since it might be a better idea to get a quad core device for about 9,500 INR (about 800 INR extra). However, for those looking for their first Android phone for under 10k INR, the device might be a good one. Celkon’s hardware and build quality is about as good as any other domestic brand so that should make it easier for you.
