Few weeks back Intex launched its flagship device Intex Aqua i7 in India and two Intex Devices Intex Aqua HD (Quick Review) and Intex Aqua i4 were silently made available in India. Intex has now officially launched these Aqua series smartphones priced at Rs. 15,900 and Rs. 9,490 respectively.
Intex Aqua i4 is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor whose make has not been specified. The RAM and internal storage has not been specified, but we can expect the RAM to be 512 MB. The chipset is not very impressive at this price range, particularly when you can get quad core devices like XOLO Q700 and XOLO Q800 at almost the same price range.
The Display is 5 Inches in size and bears FWVGA 854 X 480 pixels resolutions which is again average at this price range. This Dual SIM phone employs Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean operating system and 2000 mAh battery capacity which is above average at this price range.
The primary camera is of 8 MP (with LED Flash) and a front camera of 1.3 MP is also present for video calling. Connectivity features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Intex Aqua HD features a comfortable to hold 4.7 Inch display with 720p HD resolution and corning gorilla glass protection. This phone is powered by 1.2 GHz MT6589 Quad core processor which is ubiquitous in the range of 10,000 to 15,000 INR.
The RAM capacity is standard at 1 GB and the internal storage of 4 GB will provide only 923 MB at users end. This is quite less and won’t suffice for users who like to download many Apps. MicroSD card support for up to 32 GB is also available.
This Android 4.2 jelly bean phone also supports Dual SIM cards. The primary camera is of 13 MP and is capable of full HD 1080p video recording. The front camera is of 5 MP. The camera combination is the best you can expect at this price range.
The battery capacity is 1800 mAh which is again slightly less than what we would hope for in an HD display device. Connectivity features include 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS support.
Though Intex Aqua HD may seem over priced at Rs. 15,900, you will get free goodies Flip cover, Screen guard and 5 GB of space on the Intex Cloud worth Rs. 5,500. Small Internal storage at the users end will be a strong drawback of this device.
