Facebook messenger will soon update with new looks and various added features on Android platform in the coming weeks. Facebooks plans on making the Mobile Experience for Facebook much better and different from the usual Desktop experience for which it is well known for.
With the new update, a messenger icon will appear next to the names of all your friends who are using the new messenger App. The Facebook messenger will also feature new looks as you can see in the pictures and will be easier to operate. The SMS integration with the messenger will be removed too.
Present messenger does not allow you to message people who are not in your Facebook friend list. To make the messenger more versatile, Facebook has provided with an option to chat with all your friends in your phone contact list using Facebook messenger. After the update Facebook messenger will scan your contact list and add all people in your contact list using the Facebook messenger. This feature will help Facebook truly compete with messenger apps like BBM, WhatsApp, Line, Kik, etc instead of just being an alternative for Facebook chat.
The new Facebook messenger promises to provide lighter and faster mobile to mobile chatting experience customized for Android phones. With BBM messenger signing more than 20 million active users in its first week, Market is hot for messenger apps and will continue to grow in Booming smartphone markets like India.
Facebook has a huge user base and with few right moves it can convert and Migrate that success to messenger Mobile Apps as well. The new added features are being tested on limited users as of now and will be available for download to all Android users in coming weeks.
