Karbonn Titanium X with 1.5 GHz Quad core, 5 Inch HD display and NFC

After Micromax and Zen Mobiles, Karbonn has launched its 1.5 GHz Quad Core phone Karbonn titanium X. The phone features similar specifications as the rest of the Turbo chipset phones but comes with slightly better 2300 mAh battery capacity and NFC connectivity which is a much welcome change.

The phone features a 5 inch IPS LCD HD display which comes with 1280 x 720 pixels and will give you fine pixel density of 294 PPI, with no pixilation and smooth merged texts. MediaTek chipset can handle HD resolution better while gaming and thus it will be a good option for gamers.

The processor used is 1.5 GHz Quad core processor which most probably is MT6589, but we are not sure as of yet. Other chipset specs like RAM capacity and Internal Storage have also not been specified by Karbonn yet. The chipset is capable of playing Full HD videos

The camera features include 13 MP primary camera at the back and a Front facing 5MP camera for video calling. Dual LED flash is present at the back for low light photography.

The battery capacity is 2300 mAh which is greater than other 2000 mAh batteries we have seen so far in other full HD MT6589T Phones and we are hoping that the battery backup has also been improved significantly. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS, NFC.

NFC provides for simple communication between various NFC enabled devices simply by touching and is expected to revolutionize our lives in future. It consumes low power and can let you make payments and pair with other NFC enabled devices, like headsets and accessories with a simple touch. With Android KitKat 4.4, NFC payments might soon be a reality. You can tap a NFC Tag and it can securely access payment from your account, fetching details from your phone. This phone however comes with Android 4.2 jelly bean out of the box.

Bigger battery and NFC connectivity makes it stand apart from the crowd and is a step in the right direction, we hope other domestic manufacturers offer similar features. For now this phone will compete against phones like Micromax Canvas Turbo, Zen Ultraphone Amaze, Gionee Elife E5 and Micromax Canvas Magnus.
