ZTE announced its arsenal for CES last week and the Chinese Multinational has now presented its latest flagship smartphone, ZTE Grand S II, at CES 2014. The ZTE Grand S II comes with latest Snapdragon 800 processor along with smart voice Control feature which can recognize multiple voices and trigger various actions like taking pics and unlocking your phone.
The display is 5.5 inches in Size and features 1920 x 1080 pixel full HD resolution. The Display type is IPS LCD which will ensure wide viewing angles. The pixel density of 401 ppi will give you a sharp display.
The chipset employed is 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 with 4 power efficient Krait 400 cores and Adreno 330 GPU. The operating system used is Android 4.3 jelly bean. The internal storage is 16 GB and can be extended to 32 GB using MicroSD support. RAM is 2 GB and will be sufficient for smooth UI transitions and multi tasking.
The primary camera is of 13 MP and is capable of Full HD 1080P video recording. The secondary camera has a 2 MP camera and is also capable of recording Full HD videos at 30 fps.
The Battery capacity is 3000 mAh which is apt considering the display size. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi (Dual Band) and GPS with aGPS support. The Voice control feature, which is also demonstrated in the video below will recognize multiple voice and let you unlock your smartphone by voice commands.
Over all the ZTE Grand S II is a high end phablet and ZTE has tried to differentiate it from rest of the crowd by providing active voice control features which seems to be the modern trend. We will have to wait to find out how efficient voice control works on this smartphone.
