Apart from Sony Xperia E1, Sony has also announced A 6 Inch phablet for Asian markets, named Xperia T2 Ultra. The tablet will also come in a Dual SIM variant (Xperia T2 Ultra Dual )and will compete in booming 6 inch phablet market which includes devices like Nokia Lumia 1320, Huawei Ascend Mate 2, Intex Aqua Octa, etc.
The Xperia T2 Ultra sports a 6 inch TRILUMINOUS display with HD resolution and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. Hopefully Sony will eliminate the shortcomings spotted in last few big display devices with this phone.
The processor employed is Snapdragon 400 quad core clocked at 1.4 GHz and backed by 1 GB RAM, Adreno 305 GPU and 8 GB internal storage. The storage is expandable using MicroSD support.On the software front this phone runs on Android 4.3 jelly bean operating system.
At the back you will get a 13 MP camera with Exmor R Sensor and a 1 MP front shooter is also present for those interested in Video calling. Sony has also enhanced the camera software and it now incorporates features like Background Defocus, Collage, Sweep Panorama, etc.
The battery capacity is 3000 mAh (with Battery STAMINA mode) which seems adequate for moderate one day usage. On the connectivity front, the phone will sport 4G LTE connectivity. Sony has managed to limit the thickness of this phone to 7.6 mm which will make it comfortable to hold in spite of the large size. The weight is also quite moderate at 173 grams. Sony has also managed to keep the bezel extra slim.
The Dual SIM variant is named Xperia E1 Dual. For users in Asia Pacific region Xperia T2 Ultra will come with out-of-the-box integration with Sony Entertainment Network as well as Sony’s PlayMemories Online storage service.
