Lava has launched its premium “Art Meets Smart” Iris Pro series in India today with the first smartphone being Lava Iris Pro 30 priced at 15,999. Lava claims that premium series smartphone is the lightest in India (4.7 Inch or above )and sports 4.7 inch Sharp’s LCM500 display.
The super bright 4.7 Inch LCM500 display from Sharp bears 1280 x 720 p HD resolution and will give you 312 pixels per inches which is quite sharp. The display comes with content adaptive backlight which can auto adjust brightness according to the content you are viewing on the display. The display will also be protected by Corning gorilla glass which makes it resistant to abuse.
The display also boasts of OGS technology which eliminates a few layers in the display for closer and responsive touch experience. The complete lamination eliminates gap between display and glass for better display experience.
The processor employed is 1.2 GHz quad core processor backed by 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The storage is expandable to 32 GB using MicroSD card.
The primary camera at the back has an 8 MP BSI sensor for better low light performance and Dual LED flash. The secondary camera at the front is a 3 MP shooter which will suffice for video calling and self portraits.
On the software front this phone runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean update and the O.S. is upgradable via Over The Air (OTA) updates. This implies there is still hope for new and fancy Android KitKat. The phone also supports USB OTG and Noise cancellation with dual Microphone.
The 2000 mAh battery will light up the phone and its bright Sharp display. Lava claims that the content adaptive backlight will save you up to 30 percent of battery. The dual SIM phone is only 7.5 mm thick and weighs only 114 grams.
The phone comes in comfortable to hold size with premium quality display and decent processing power.
