LG has confirmed that it will soon launch LG G Pro 2, the successor of LG Optimus G Pro which featured spectacular high end hardware including the large sized phablet display. LG also claims that a combined sale of G series phones G, G Pro and G2 exceeds 1 million, which only raises expectations with the upcoming device – most likely to be showcased at MWC 2014.
LG G Pro 2 is expected to feature a 6 inch display, featuring full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. The processor employed is expected to be 2.26 GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC or 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 quad core processor with Adreno 420 GPU and Krait 400 cores. Other rumored specs include 3 GB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat and LTE-connectivity.
LG has only made the name official and this one too drops the Optimus Moniker unlike its processor. LG G Pro 2 is expected to be announced next month at MWC 2014. After the fast and snappy LG G2 introduced last year, the expectations and benchmarks have been set very high.
LG is known to make beautiful IPS LCD displays along with powerful performance hardware. We really hope LG works on its software UI this time. The software of LG G2 did appear slightly cluttered. LG also announced that the phone will go on sale in Korea next month.
